So, grab your favorite drinking buddy, and let’s jump into the best spots to sip, mingle, and soak up the vibrant vibes of Dunedin’s nightlife!

Best Bars in Dunedin

1. HiFi

Rooftop bars are always a vibe, and you know they’re going to land on my list! With yummy drinks, a chill atmosphere, and those swoon-worthy views, HiFi hits all the right notes. Perched atop the Fenway Hotel, where we’ve stayed during a few of our weekend getaways in Dunedin, this spot is a gem.

Because it’s a rooftop bar, you already know sunset here is the move. It’s the perfect setting to lounge, sip on a cocktail, and soak in the stunning view of Clearwater Harbor.

Feeling hungry? Treat yourself to a meal downstairs at HEW Parlor & Chophouse, one of the best restaurants in Dunedin!

2. Circle 1852

You absolutely have to check out one the newest (and most unique) bars in DunedinCircle 1852! Enjoy sipping on a fancy craft cocktail at a carousel bar that gently rotates, giving total New Orleans vibes. It’s like a grown-up merry-go-round, and honestly? I’m obsessed.

You’ll find Circle 1852 inside The Dunedin Mix, an open-air food hall and event space that’s buzzing with life. Alongside delicious eats, you can explore boutique pop-ups and enjoy live entertainment, like dueling pianos! It’s the perfect mix of tasty drinks, fun vibes, and a little something extra.

3. Sonder Social Club

Sonder Social Club is where you can head to enjoy craft cocktails in a cozy, cool atmosphere. Known for its creative concoctions, this Dunedin bar elevates your drink game with a menu full of both twists on classics and wildly innovative creations.

While it’s not exactly a hidden speakeasy, Sonder’s vibe has that touch of secrecy. Dim lighting, shelves of liquor with a rolling ladder (giving major library goals), and my favorite detailspeakeasy-style bathrooms cleverly hidden in bookshelves—all come together to create something special.

If you’re visiting around the holidays, prepare to be even more wowed! They go all out with decorations, making this spot even more magical and full of festive cheer.

4. Reboot

If you’re looking for one of the most fun bars in Dunedin, head to Reboot! It has such an awesome retro vibe lit with black light and neon decor, making it an extra cool vibe for a nightcap! This spot isn’t your average bar; it’s a playground for adults filled with classic arcade games, darts, pinball, video games, and more. Day or night, we absolutely love this spot!

5. Crown and Bull

The outdoor vibes at Crown and Bull is kind of unbeatable, especially when the weather is just right! Imagine cozy seating arrangements, twinkling lights, and a lively crowd, perfect for soaking up the Florida sunshine or enjoying a starlit night.

They also have a dynamic event lineup. From live music to themed parties, there’s always something fun happening here! If you’re hungry stick around for an amazing breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu!

6. Blur Nightclub and Showbar

If you want to visit one of the best bars in Dunedin for dancing the night away, the dance floor at Blur is calling your name! It’s known for its energetic atmosphere and lively dance floors.

They’re open Tuesday through Sunday, and trust me—every night is a party. Expect drag shows that’ll have you cheering, live music that keeps the energy high, and even karaoke nights where you can belt out your go-to anthem. Add in nightly DJs, and you’ve got a recipe for an unforgettable night out!

7. The Nest at Caracara

The Nest at Caracara is a fun Dunedin bar that effortlessly blends the charm of a French cocktail lounge with the versatility of a high-end event space! Their cocktail menu is a total standout, with drinks that are as fun to look at as they are to sip.

We went around Halloween and they had a seasonal cocktail menu, fun decor, and even some interactive games! They are only open on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 PM – 11 PM.

8. Skips Bar

Skip’s Bar is all about keeping it simple and laid-back, which is exactly what makes it so special. If you’re craving that classic dive bar experience—no fancy frills, just good drinks, great company, and a game of darts—this is your spot.

When my mom visited, we hit up a few bars in Dunedin, and guess what? Skip’s was her absolute favorite. There’s just something about the vibe and stiff drinks that makes you feel right at home.

9. Rosie’s Tavern

Rosie’s Tavern feels like hanging out at a friend’s cozy house, except with better beer and a dog-friendly patio. It’s the ultimate local hangout with its inviting vibe, 20 beers on tap, and glasses of wine that pair perfectly with sunshine and casual conversations.

Did I mention the free popcorn? That’s right—it’s the perfect snack to keep you fueled as you enjoy live entertainment throughout the week. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick drink or making a night of it, Rosie’s has that neighborhood charm that’s hard to beat!

10. The Honu

The Honu is a little tropical slice of Hawaii right in Dunedin. What started as a humble eatery has transformed into a full-blown Polynesian tiki experience, complete with tropical vibes, exotic cocktails, and that breezy, island-living feel.

The outdoor Tiki Bar is perfect for sipping your way through their fun, fruity drinks while soaking in the laid-back atmosphere. And if you’re a rum enthusiast, the Ka Pakele Rum Bar inside is a must. With an exclusive selection of rums from all over the world, it’s a true hidden gem—but don’t forget to make a reservation.

This is another place that goes all out for the holidays!

Which of these bars in Dunedin are you heading to first?
