Best Indian Rocks Beach Restaurants
1. Kooky Coconut
This little spot packs a big punch! Kooky Coconut may be small, but it’s bustling for a reason. Their Cuban sandwiches are hands-down some of the best in Tampa Bay—seriously, you’ll dream about them later!
Sweet tooth? Don’t miss their locally-made ice cream (the peanut butter shake is my personal weakness), or sip on fresh coconut water to stay cool and tropical.
Grab a seat in their cozy backyard area or indoors if it’s too hot. Just don’t be surprised if there’s a line—this place is that good! They do have a small parking lot with limited spaces.
2. Guppy’s on the Beach
Fresh seafood, sizzling steaks, and sangria dreams come true at Guppy’s! This laid-back but slightly upscale spot serves up dishes like Local Gulf Grouper Picatta and Florida Lobster Tail that’ll leave you swooning.
My go-to is their tuna salad with a side of creamy lobster bisque! Oh, and their sangria is also a must-have. Whether you’re coming for date night or a casual bite, Guppy’s is one of those Indian Rocks Beach restaurants that hits the sweet spot of relaxed vibes and elevated eats!
3. Guilty Sea
Sports fans, this one’s for you! Guilty Sea Sports Pub is the perfect spot to kick back, catch the game, and indulge in great food and drinks. The onion rings and quesadillas? Absolute chef’s kiss! One quesadilla is big enough to share, but honestly, you might not want to.
They also serve up a mean Guilty Punch during their all-day, every-day happy hour—it’s $5, strong, and totally delightful! Add live entertainment or some table games and dart boards into the mix, and you’ve got the recipe for a good time.
4. Cafe De Paris Bakery
Bonjour, deliciousness! Cafe De Paris Bakery is your slice of France right here in Indian Rocks Beach. Their croissants are flaky perfection, their crepes are melt-in-your-mouth good, and their sandwiches? Perfect for a beachside picnic.
Heads up: This charming cafe gets busy early and is only open Wednesday through Sunday. With indoor and outdoor seating, it’s the perfect spot to grab a coffee and indulge in a little European magic.
5. TJ’s Italian Cafe
TJ’s Italian Cafe is one of the best Italian restaurants in Indian Rocks Beach. They serve Italian-American comfort food with a tropical twist. Everything is made from scratch, from the juicy hand-rolled 4-ounce meatballs to the brick oven-baked bread and pizzas, to the homemade sauces and soups.
Speaking of pizza, their Spinach Ranch Pie and Shrimp & Asparagus Pie are not to be missed. Other popular dishes include the eggplant rollatini and the Gamberoni Basilico—both are total crowd-pleasers. The vibe is beachy yet elegant, making it a favorite for locals and visitors.
6. The Original Crabby Bill’s
Crabby Bill’s is probably one of the most well-known restaurants in Indian Rocks Beach! It is the spot for a laid-back Florida vibe with tons of personality. Picture bright, fun decor, nightly live entertainment, and a menu full of locally caught seafood.
Start with the Chicago Baked Oysters—they’re insanely good—and then dive into whatever catch of the day they’re serving up.
Right next door you’ll find one of my favorite coffee shops, Pipo n Betty’s serving up Joffrey’s coffee (a Tampa favorite)!
7. Jimmy Guana’s
Jimmy Guana’s is where tropical vibes meet mouthwatering eats! This waterfront restaurant in Indian Rocks Beach serves up a little bit of everything, from fresh seafood to island-inspired cocktails that’ll have you feeling like you’re on vacation. With a laid-back atmosphere, live music, and a stunning view, it’s the ultimate beachside hangout.
I absolutely love their jolly mon shrimp and their angry chicken pasta! But if you’re craving that fresh seafood (I don’t blame you!) try their blackened grouper! Be sure to also check out their other restaurants in Clearwater Beach, including a couple of rooftop bars!
8. Grove Surf Cafe
This place is everything. Grove Surf Cafe is not just a restaurant and cafe; it’s a vibe! Their OG location in St. Pete Beach is already legendary (seriously, one of the best coffee shops in St. Pete), so you can imagine how thrilled I was when they expanded!
Let’s talk aesthetics because OMG—it’s the cutest beach cafe you’ll ever see. Think laid-back, breezy, coastal vibes that make you want to move in and never leave.
Now onto the food: I still dream about their chicken Caesar wrap. That housemade dressing? Unbelievable. Pair it with their iconic coffee cake for the ultimate sweet-and-savory combo. And speaking of coffee, theirs hits just right. Not too sweet, not too strong—just perfect.
Trust me, you need to check this spot out!
9. PJ’s Oyster Bar
Seafood fans, rejoice! PJ’s Oyster Bar is your ticket to the freshest catches in Indian Rocks Beach. They source their seafood straight from local fishermen, so you know it’s as fresh as it gets. Bonus: They’ve got the largest parking lot on the beach, so you can leave the parking struggles behind!
PJ’s menu is loaded with mix-and-match combos, perfect for trying everything. Remi and I did their PJ’s Super Combo when we went. It’s a seafood feast featuring an 8 oz. Caribbean lobster tail and your pick of two delicious options (think snow crab, fried shrimp, or even ribs). It’s a $70 splurge that’s totally worth it, especially when paired with their tasty sides.
