Best Restaurants on the North Shore of Oahu

1. Haleiwa Beach House

Haleiwa Beach House offers an unbeatable, scenic terrace view and a calm, serene atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing lunch on Oahu’s North Shore. The menu has a range of fresh salads, sandwiches, soups, and bowls.

We stepped out of our comfort zone with the spicy tuna club (a pleasant surprise) and beach house fries, which are an absolute must-try! For drinks, you’ll find colorful concoctions made with local ingredients like guava juice, coconut water, and lilikoi puree—flavors that capture the tropical essence of Hawaii!

2. Aji Limo

A list of top restaurants on the North Shore would not be complete without a food truck experience! It’s a must while visiting Oahu’s North Shore, and Aji Limo is a standout. This Peruvian-Japanese fusion truck, known for its fresh seafood and vegetarian options, offers vibrant, flavorful dishes that will keep you coming back for more.

Its colorful truck is hard to miss, and it’s conveniently located near Sharks Cove (one of the best things to do on the North Shore), making it a perfect stop after a snorkeling session.

3. Banzai Sushi Bar

Having visited Hawaii several times and even living there for a summer, I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve been to Banzai Sushi. It’s truly some of the best sushi I’ve ever had!

My go-to is the California tempura roll (because who doesn’t love a deep-fried roll?). Banzai offers a variety of fresh, light sushi options for those who prefer keeping it raw, along with a selection of specialty cocktails, wines, and beers.

Another thing that I love about this North Shore restaurant is the atmosphere is also unique, with the option for traditional floor seating—perfect for a fun dining experience!

4. Konos Northshore

Kono’s has several locations on the island (we visited them all because we liked it that much!). So no matter where you are, you can most likely find their heavenly Kalua pig plates, breakfast bombers, and milkshakes. Kalua pork is something you must eat in Oahu!

When you leave here, you will never be able to look at another pulled pork nacho the same again. Nothing will ever compare! They also offer sliders, plates, bowls, and more. Their Kalua pork dishes are topped with homemade guava BBQ sauce, and it’s every bit as amazing as you would think it’d be!

They also offer over a dozen delicious flavors of milkshakes— who could resist?! Our favorite was the strawberry cheesecake!

They also have a location in Kailua. Check out the best restaurants in Kailua and Kaneohe if you’re going to be in that area!

5. Seven Brothers at the Mill

Seven Brothers may be just past the North Shore, but it’s worth the stop if you’re heading back toward the windward side. This family-friendly spot serves up fresh, high-quality ingredients, including antibiotic-free, vegetarian-fed ground beef.

A standout is the Polynesian salad—light and fresh with pineapple, coconut flakes, and macadamia nuts, paired perfectly with papaya seed dressing. They also offer a range of options like garlic shrimp, acai bowls, and milkshakes, making it a great stop on your Oahu adventure!

Seven Brothers originally opened in 2009, with this location being their OG. Since then, they’ve gained so much success that they’ve expanded to several other locations on the island, and even to Arizona and Utah!

6. Sunrise Shack

Sunrise Shack is a vibrant, Instagram-worthy spot you absolutely can’t miss on the North Shore! With their signature bowls, customizable options, and refreshing smoothies, it’s a go-to for a healthy bite. Their original location is on Sunset Beach, and they’ve recently opened a newer spot at Sharks Cove, making it even easier to enjoy their delicious acai bowls while exploring the North Shore.

Surf N Salsa is a family-owned food truck on the North Shore that offers a delicious mix of Mexican and Latin dishes. The menu features fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients, with highlights like ceviche and fish tacos.

The laid-back vibe and fusion of flavors make it a must-try North Shore restaurant, blending authentic tastes with creative twists that reflect both the ocean’s bounty and Latin culinary influences!

8. Farm to Barn

Farm To Barn is a charming healthy cafe on the North Shore, offering cold-pressed juices and affordable farm-to-table meals. Although we were craving acai bowls (a North Shore staple), they also serve a variety of bowls, sandwiches, and salads.

The refreshing juice options and laid-back vibe make it a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful scenery. And as you can see in the photos below, the views here aren’t bad at all! We really took our time enjoying our bowl here just taking in the beautiful weather and scenery.

9. Haleiwa Bowls

Haleiwa Bowls is a fan favorite when it comes to North Shore Oahu restaurants! They serve high-quality, local, fresh ingredients, keeping with Hawaiian trends. It’s even made its way on my list of best acai bowls on Oahu!

We had the ‘local bowl’ which was frozen acai puree topped with granola, fruit poi, bananas, papaya, strawberries, Maui bee pollen, raw honey, and raw coconut flakes. For a little bit extra you can even have your acai bowl served in their signature coconut bowl!

10. Uncle Bo’s Restaurant

Uncle Bo’s Restaurant is a vibrant North Shore restaurant where island charm meets bold flavors! The menu is a fun mix of contemporary American and Pacific Rim cuisine, making it easy to find something mouthwatering.

I can’t recommend the nachos enough—seriously, they’re a must-try! And for the perfect pairing, their creative cocktails and wine selection are the cherry on top. With another location in Honolulu, it’s easy to find your new favorite spot on Oahu!
