Dunedin, Florida, is hands down one of the most charming little towns I’ve ever explored. The coffee shops in Dunedin are just the cherry on top! Many of you know I fell in love with this adorable spot long ago, and it’s been such a joy uncovering everything from its breweries and restaurants to bars—and now, all the cozy and quirky coffee shops that make it even more special. Whether you’re strolling through downtown or looking for the perfect place to sip and relax, these cafes in Dunedin are must-visits!
Best Dunedin Coffee Shops
1. Sandpiper Coffee
Sandpiper Cafe is one of those super cozy Dunedin coffee shops that feels like a big warm hug—probably because it’s actually a house transformed into the most inviting cafe! Their hazelnut latte is perfection. It’s smooth, perfectly sweet, and packed with delicious flavor. Plus, they roast their custom-blended coffee right on-site, so you know every sip is as fresh as it gets.
The vibe is just as amazing as the coffee, with options for indoor seating, a charming porch, and the cutest outdoor setup. Whether you’re there for a quiet coffee moment or grabbing breakfast or lunch, it’s the perfect spot. (P.S. Their menu looks so good—French toast and breakfast quesadillas, anyone? I’m already planning my next visit to try it!)
2. Tukro Coffee
TuKro Coffee is straight-up adorable! Whether you’re popping in to tackle some work with your laptop or catching up with a friend, this spot delivers on cozy vibes and seriously good coffee. Their secret weapon? All their syrups are made in-house from scratch with organic ingredients!
They always have fun specialty lattes on the menu and trust me, they’re worth trying. My personal fave is their Snickerdoodle iced latte—it’s like dessert in a cup. Oh, and don’t even think about leaving without a pastry 😉
3. Lavita Bakery and Gelato (formerly known as Scone Age Bakery)
Formerly known as Scone Age Bakery, Lavita Bakery and Gelato is a Dunedin gem for baked goods and sweet treats. Head here for coffee and a delicious European breakfast. They’re keeping traditional baked goods alive and thriving with fresh, organic ingredients and scratch-made vibes.
Last time, I snagged a sourdough cinnamon roll (after an embarrassing amount of indecision) and had it warmed up to perfection. It was heavenly! I’m already plotting my return to sample more from their daily-changing selection. Bonus points for their relaxed, cozy atmosphere, complete with indoor and patio seating.
4. Art Smart Coffee
This Dunedin coffee shop is one of a kind. Art Smart Coffee is actually more than just a coffee shop—it’s a full-on creative experience! As you sip your brew, you’re surrounded by stunning art, from sculptures to paintings, all of which are for sale. They even have unique items like vintage jewelry to browse while you caffeinate.
And the coffee? It’s a standout, especially their iced coffee served with coffee ice cubes. If you’re like me and take your time enjoying your drink, this is a total game-changer—no watered-down coffee here! Art Smart is the perfect spot for a little inspiration with your caffeine fix.
5. Dunedin Coffee Company
Dunedin Coffee Company is the kind of quaint, cozy spot that makes you want to linger with a cup of coffee in hand. The vibe is quiet and relaxed, perfect for sipping and snacking.
Last time, I kept it simple with a vanilla cappuccino, which was delightful, but I’ve since heard rumors about their iced vanilla lavender coffee, café con leche, and white chocolate raspberry freeze being next-level amazing. So, you already know I’ll be back ASAP to confirm (stay tuned for updates!).
They’ve also got a tempting selection of baked goods and a full breakfast menu, so come hungry. There’s nothing better than pairing your coffee with a little something extra!
6. Veskolini Cafe
If you’re craving European vibes with your coffee, Veskolini Cafe is the place to be! Their menu is packed with breakfast, lunch, and bakery items, so come ready to eat. Seeing all the fresh veggies piled on their bagel breakfast sandwiches instantly transported me back to my Budapest breakfasts—my favorite!
The hardest decision here is sweet or savory. With bakery options like coffee cake muffins, pistachio and ricotta cake, and limoncello mascarpone, it’s almost unfair. I went savory with a breakfast sandwich (delicious!), while Remi went sweet with their chocolate croissant. Both were amazing, but the real showstopper was my hot caramel brulee latte. It was perfectly sweet and creamy—just dreamy in a cup.
