Rent bikes from YOLO Board and Bikes and explore the gorgeous beaches and quirky towns along the 30A coastal path. The bike trail will take you past stunning beach access points and super charming communities.

The Local is such a fun choice when it comes to places to stay in St. Augustine! During my last visit, I fell in love with its retro vibes and modern touches. It’s got this cool, laid-back atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

Oh, and if you’re feeling extra adventurous, you can always go parasailing, or book a private charter!
  • Myakka River State Park— You’ll find so much wildlife here, from alligators to birds, and if you’re up for a little adventure, they offer airboat tours that let you glide through the wetlands.
  • Ca’ d’Zan & The RinglingCa’ d’Zan is a historic mansion that belonged to the Ringling family. The estate is so breathtaking, with incredible views of the waterfront. After touring the mansion, head over to The Ringling Museum, where you can enjoy an impressive collection of art in a gorgeous setting.

    It looks like Tampa is a great spot in Florida to use as a base for some good weekend getaways. There are several places here like St Augustine and Sarasota that we have not yet visited. Some great options for things to see and do in each destination. Reasons to go back more than once!

  6. I spend a lot of time in the Sarasota area, so I’m saving this list for a future visit of what to see in the area around Tampa Bay! AMI has my heart….I think the beaches there are better than St. Pete!
